With the 15 meter bleep test each level lasts for approximately one minute and contains a series of 6 to 14 shuttles. You will notice that for the first few levels you should be able to reach the other side of the track before the next beep with a fast walk or light jog. These beeps start off slow and get progressively faster as the test progresses. The purpose of the bleep test is to reach the other side of your 15 or 20 meter track before the next beep. Once you have placed two markers 15 or 20 meters apart and have loaded the bleep test app you are in a position to start running.

This could be your back garden, local field, sports hall or even a quiet pavement. If you have access to one of our bleep test apps, the only other thing you will need is a flat level surface that is just over 15 or 20 meters in length. If you are not used to regular exercise or have never completed a bleep test, it is recommended that you practice the test prior to any fitness assessment where you are expected to meet a minimum level on the bleep test.
